I have been working as a generalist gynaecologist since the 1980s and am therefore able to provide a range of gynaecology services, including the management of your:
- abnormal pap smears
- heavy or irregular menstrual periods
- contraceptive needs
- pelvic pain
- urinary incontinence
- uterine or vaginal prolapse
- vulval skin disorder
Many gynaecological problems can be managed without the need for surgery. Sometimes however I may recommend a procedure to investigate your symptoms and reach a diagnosis (diagnostic) or to treat your symptoms (therapeutic). Diagnostic procedures include Laparoscopy and Hysteroscopy. Sometimes these procedures may be combined with some form of treatment during the same operation.
I am happy to undertake some minor procedures in the office, but where an operating environment is appropriate I have operating lists for both minor and major procedures, at Spring Hill Specialist Day Hospital, Spring Hill, Saint Andrews War Memorial Hospital, Spring Hill and Mater Private Hospital, South Brisbane.
